Linkin Park And Chris Cornell Jam At 'projekt Revolution' Opener

Linkin Park's latest Projekt Revolution tour kicked off on Wednesday night (July 16th) in Boston with a number of highlights, including Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington and former Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell teaming up for a performance of Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike" during Cornell's set. The vocalist returned the favor later by appearing onstage during Linkin Park's show for a run through the band's 2001 hit "Crawling."

Bennington said during a recent meeting with reporters that Linkin Park enjoys getting as many of the tour's acts as possible to collaborate onstage: "All the bands are always -- like, we, last year, we invited everybody up to do 'One Step Closer'with us, but I don't think anybody came out. I think they were having too much fun hanging out doing something backstage (laughs). But, you know, we always, on these Projekt Rev things we always try to get everybody involved." [read more]

  1. Chester, I just have to say, awesome show, you guys rocked the house, and I loved the other bands as well, although I have to admit my fav part of that concert was when you came out, on Chris's performance and sorta threw the mic, and it almost hit the drummer hehe that was sorta funny.
