Street Fighter Arcade Games - Proceeds Benefit Music For Relief

Music for Relief is auctioning off STREET FIGHTER arcade game cabinets custom designed by artists MEAR ONE, Otto Murga of SOTA TOYS, Lemar and Dauley, Scott Spatola and Mike McWhertor of Meat Bun, and Jim Mahfood aka Food One of I AM 8-BIT.

Auction is now live at www.eBay.com/musicforrelief.

Each cabinet comes with a copy of Street Fighter IV for Xbox 360 or PS3 and a limited edition Chun-li figurine (only 700 were made). All proceeds from this auction benefit Music for Relief and the organization’s aid to victims of the wildfires in Victoria Australia.

Linkin Park Headlining Summer Sonic 2009

Linkin Park will headline Summer Sonic 2009 in Japan this coming August. The events will take place at Chiba Marine Stadium in Tokyo and Maishima in Osaka on August 7th, 8th and 9th. It is the historic 10th year of the annual festival.

Tickets go on sale at all ticket locations including Lawson, E-plus, and Pia, on Saturday, May 30 at 10am (local).

Habitat for Humanity Auction Launched Today

PRESS RELEASE: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (http://www.habitatla.org) launched an online auction today at http://www.clothesoffourback.org/habitat featuring hardhats signed by celebrity volunteers and supporters of Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (http://www.hollywoodforhabitat.com), a partnership between HFHGLA and the entertainment industry. The hardhats are signed and decorated by music, television and film stars including: Green Day, Ricky Martin, Linkin Park, U2, Justin Timberlake, The Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, 30 Seconds to Mars and more. The auction will run through March 6th at 5:00 pm PST with 100% of the proceeds helping to build more affordable homes in Greater Los Angeles.

"Through our non-profit organization, Music for Relief, and our ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity we have had the opportunity to not only sponsor homes, but also to go and build the houses ourselves, and to meet the families that were moving into them," said Dave "Phoenix" Farrell of Linkin Park. On February 7th Australia’s deadliest bushfires swept through the southern state of Victoria fueled by strong winds and heatwave temperatures. The disaster has resulted in huge loss of life and property. 181 people have died and that figure may rise to 200 or 300 as more bodies are uncovered and as 21 fires continue to burn. LINKIN PARK TO PLAY FIRST EVER SONISPHERE FESTIVAL

Linkin Park will co-headline with Metallica this summer at the first ever Sonisphere Festival in Pori, Finland on July 25th and in Knebworth, England on August 1st. Other bands on the bill include Lamb of God and Mastodon, with more to be announced soon.
