DAREDEVIL Magician Steve Wyrick And Club Tattoo Co-Owner Chester Bennington Attempt “Death Drop” Escape

WHAT: In celebration of Club Tattoo’s grand opening inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, daredevil magician Steve Wyrick will perform a terrifying “Death Drop” escape featuring Chester Bennington, co-owner of Club Tattoo and Linkin Park frontman.

DETAILS: At 8:30 p.m., members of the public are encouraged to head to the Miracle Mile Shops’ southern Las Vegas Boulevard entrance (by Hawaiian Tropic Zone) to witness a “Death Drop” escape performed by Daredevil Magician Steve Wyrick. Bennington, assisted by members of his new side project Dead by Sunrise, will lock and shackle Wyrick into one of the band’s equipment boxes. Connected to a crane by only a few thin ropes, the box will be dangled over a bed of 500 flaming spikes 80 feet below. The ropes will then be set on fire, forcing Wyrick to make his escape before the last rope breaks and sends him plummeting to a fiery death. Wyrick will have to jump 20 feet off a burning box to a safety rope and rappel down while avoiding the spikes and tremendous heat. This type of escape has never been attempted by an illusionist anywhere in the world.

"This song could definitely fit on any of our albums. It's got a classic Linkin Park feel to it," Bennington said. "And that's because we treated it as if we were going to put it on one of our records and release it as the first single off that record. We knew the movie was going to be epic, so we wanted to make an epic-sounding song."

Club Tattoo is opening a brand new store in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops. The show is set for July 4th and will feature an acoustic set performed by Chester and his friends from Julien-K. The Linkin Park Street Team is wanting to get the word out about the opening of the parlor, so they've set a deal up for some fans.

If you pass out flyers and put up some posters the week before the show in order to effectively get the word out and take pictures in the process, there is a major hookup you have the opportunity to grab.
