Linkin Park Underground Auctions

A highlight of the LPU Summits are the on-site auctions where members can bid on rare Linkin Park items. After hearing requests from members who couldn't attend a Summit, but wanted to take part in auctions, we've opened up online auctions exclusively to all current members of the LP Underground. Starting in LPU11, we'll be hosting LPU Auctions every month, but we decided to do one now for current LPU members.

MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 Nominations

Linkin Park are nominated for two categories in the 2011 European Music Awards. They are nominated for Best Rock and Best World Stage. The 18th Annual MTV EMAs will take place at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on November 6. The ceremony will be broadcast live on MTV.

The Raid Film Score

Mike Shinoda recently scored a film that debuted this week at the Toronto Film Festival. Check out the trailer for The Raid here!

For a long time, I have been wanting to score a film. In order for it to work, it would have to have a great story, stunning visuals, and the timing would have to work out in a way that didn’t distract from all the things I want to do with Linkin Park. I’m really excited to have finally found the right project. The movie is called The Raid. Its intense martial arts choreography, amazing cinematography, and great story have been inspiring all kinds of new music. I’m excited for all of you to see—and hear—this film. -Mike

Chester Bennington headlines Children's Center benefit

AZ Central press release: Chester Bennington of Linkin Park will headline the second annual Stars of the Season soiree to benefit Cardon Children's Medical Center on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Montelucia Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley. The signature fundraising event for Banner Health's only free-standing pediatric facility has a goal of raising $250,000 in support of Cardon's Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, which provides critically important rehabilitation services for children from newborn to 18 years. Bennington's wife, Talinda, volunteers there with Bruiser, their dog.

Last year's event raised $170,000 for the medical center's Integrative Pediatric Pain Management Program. Tickets to this year's cocktails and dinner event are $250 per person; sponsorships range from $5,000-$50,000. MTV: Linkin Park 'Getting The Wheels Rolling' On Next Album

"We just kind of began. We like to keep the creative juices flowing, so we try to keep that going all the time," he said. "We don't know when the next record is going to be done. We are in the beginning phases of that. We're still winding down A Thousand Suns and touring for that, so I can tell you we are working and we're excited, and we like the direction that we're going in."

Chester Bennington Talks Earthquake Relief Show

It's a really exciting night tonight. We're performing a show with he B'z from Japan, [the] biggest rock band in Japanese history," explained singer Chester Bennington before the gig. "It's an honor to be able to play with these guys, and it's especially an honor to be able to give back to the Japanese community that's been so devastated and been so great in supporting us."
